China: “Holidays boost dragon fruit sales”

In recent years, with the improvement of consumption levels and  changes in aesthetic awareness, Chinese consumers have started to consider more than just the price when purchasing fruit. Deeper factors such as the nutritional value and the place of origin, as well colouring have become more important. 

Red is a colour that represents joy and good luck in the Chinese culture and is very popular, especially during holidays. Whether consumed immediately or presented as a gift, red fruits such as apples and dragon fruit are good choices.

The Mid-Autumn Festival is coming soon, followed by the National Day. As an ideal gift, dragon fruit is extremely sought after. So far, our products have all been pre-ordered, mainly packed in 3 and 5 kilogram boxes and sold offline."
